I am interested in applying concepts from computer vision, robotics, data science, and machine learning to produce data that informs ecology research. My work supports internal projects in the FOCAL Lab as well as the Open Forest Observatory. My current focus is using both geometric and learning-based computer vision to process large sets of drone imagery. I am also interested in coupling observations at multiple scales, such as field, drone, and satellite, to achieve predictions that are both accurate and scalable. I firmly believe that open source software is critical for reproducable science and I enjoy building software toolkits to standarize research methods.
